A Description for Presenters and Participants
Professional Development Workshops (PDWs) are workshops that run from a half-day to two-days in length during the first three days of the ISPSO Annual Meeting, July 1-3, 2024.
All Professional Development Workshops will be held in person in Sofia with no online option.
Charges and registration for Professional Development Workshops (PDWs) are separate from other meeting registration and fees. You can
attend PDWs without having to register for other parts of the meeting.
PDWs are designed to offer:
Workshop presenters (and participants) include both ISPSO members, and non-members. There is no particular degree or licensure required to offer a workshop. You do not, for example, have to be a psychoanalyst or therapist.
Workshop presenters and participants range from academics and clinicians of various kinds, to consultants and artists, and others interested in professional development from a psychoanalytic and systems thinking perspective. We are looking for a wide variety of workshops that engage participants creatively from multiple points of view.
Lunch will be provided for those presenting and participating in full-day and two-day workshops. Tea and coffee are provided in the mornings and afternoons for all attendees. In addition, the Planning Committee is working on an informal social program for PDW attendees. These may be walks around the city, collective meals at restaurants and informal musical jam sessions at the PDW hotel venue. You are welcome to bring musical instruments. Other than that, you will probably not need anything in addition to the provided conference pack (which includes a writing pad and pen).
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact Mal O’Connor at moconnor@cfar.com. We look forward to seeing you at the ISPSO Annual Meeting in Sofia, Bulgaria in July.
