Between Doubt and Conviction

Leading Organisations in a Turbulent World

Lausanne is easily accessible from across Europe and internationally, with efficient rail, road, and air connections.

By Air

The closest international airports are:

  • Geneva Airport (GVA) – around 45 minutes from Lausanne by direct train, with frequent departures throughout the day.
  • Zurich Airport (ZRH) – around 2 hours 15 minutes to Lausanne by train, with regular connections via the Swiss rail network.

Both airports are well connected to the Swiss Federal Railways network, making onward travel to Lausanne simple and reliable.

By Train

Lausanne is a major hub on Switzerland’s rail network, with frequent direct connections from Geneva, Zurich, Bern, Paris, and Milan. The main station, Lausanne Gare, is centrally located with easy access to hotels and public transport.

From Lausanne Gare to Ouchy
Ouchy is easily reached from Lausanne Gare by the m2 metro in just a few minutes. The line runs directly between Lausanne-Gare and Ouchy-Olympique, with regular service throughout the day.

By Car

Lausanne is well connected via Switzerland’s motorway network, notably the A1/E25 and A9/E27. Parking is available in and around the city, though public transport is recommended for convenience.

Local Transport
Lausanne has an efficient public transport system of metro, buses, and local trains. Guests staying in eligible accommodation receive the Lausanne Transport Card, which offers free use of public transport in Lausanne and its surroundings during their stay
