Dawn Barrett

About Me

Dawn Oxenaar Barrett is a strategist, designer, and consultant. with expertise in visual arts and higher education. She was Head of Design at Jan van Eyck Academie, Maastricht, NL; Dean of Architecture + Design at Rhode Island School of Design; and President of Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Barrett's critical writing connects the disciplines of visual culture and history, and has appeared in Zed, Visible Language, Archis, and Parallax, and editor of 'Interface; An Approach to Design', by Gui Bonsiepe. As a consultant, she provides expertise, strategic advising, and executive coaching for leaders and cultural institutions around the world.
