The following example presents the results of a role consultancy workshop, which was conducted by the author of this paper with two other consultants in a children's public oncology service (Sanfuentes & Acuna, 2008). Four oncologists that worked in the hospital took part in the experience. The workshop lasted five sessions wherein every oncologist had the opportunity to analyse her own role at the hospital, and also to contribute to the examination of the others' roles. Subsequently, two follow-up sessions evaluated the impact of the activity, emphasizing the achievements and difficulties that oncologists faced throughout the process. The first follow-up session was conducted two weeks after the end of the workshop, and the second took place six weeks later. The content of both sessions was tape recorded and later analyzed using qualitative methods.
