2. The influence of perinatal experience
3. The application to organisational leadership.

Exploring Hybridity, Helen McKelvie, Thomas Mitchell, Cath McKinney and Seth Thomason
In the face of the widespread adoption of hybrid working a group relations conference was conducted in a hybrid format to examine the dynamics of onsite and online participation. The conference underscored the importance of navigating the liminal space, where technology, though facilitating communication, struggled to support the development of full and rich relationships.
The experience provided insights into managing hybrid workplaces, addressing issues like connectivity obstacles, staff authority, shared responsibility, and containment. The lessons from this hybrid conference offer valuable guidance for leaders, managers, consultants, and researchers grappling with the challenges of the evolving work landscape shaped by the COVID pandemic.
Session 3: 5.10 - 6.25 pm
Social Dreaming Matrix, Susan Long and Nuala Dent
This workshop will involve members experientially in a social dreaming matrix (SDM) and dream reflection dialogue (DRD). In the SDM participants are invited to share dreams and to associate to the dreams and make connections. The dreams are the focus, not the personality of the dreamer. We dream on behalf of the whole. The DRD allows participants to make sense of the matrix, perhaps formulating hypotheses about the society that is the container for the matrix - (ISPSO in Australia / the broader society as context.) The purpose is to discover the social and collective meaning coming from the dreams and to allow new thinking.
Social Dreaming is a cross-disciplinary methodology used by professionals in many disciplines including social science, psychotherapy, management, humanities, science, art and other professions dealing with people, their work and personal and occupational wellbeing. Its stance is exploratory - finding ways to inform our societal understanding and our places in this.
Prof. Susan Long is primary host for the SDM and DRD. Nuala Dent will be drawing the SDM.
Workshop close: 6.25 - 6.30 pm
