Working with words in Creative Advances in Groupwork
The power of words can contribute to the effect of an intervention. Finding the optimum dialogue or metaphor can have mae a profound change. In this chapter the Author considers how a consultant needs to discover the best language to suit the culture of an organisation. There are sections on the context for interventions, i.e organsiational, group, consultant and the individual perspective. There are case studies about leadership, care -workers, racisim and working with change models. Finally there are some reflective questions for the consultant in joining or influencing the clients system.
