The group dynamics of war
Group psychotherapists from around the world address the political process in order to provide politically minded clinicians a knowledge base on which to move conceptually from the individual to the dyad, the family, the small group, the large therapy groups, and finally to intergroup events. Eight essays apply group dynamics to a wide range of historical political events; then ten case studies detail such events as Ronald Reagans National Security Council during the Iran-Contra affair, the African National Congress in exile and return, ethnic conflict in Northern Ireland, and the current relations between Russia and the Baltic republics.
