Monthly Members Meeting 10am UTC - 1 November 2026

Theme: Human in the system and the human systems
Thirty to forty years ago, computers were widely used yet the internet was still in its early stage. Today, interactions in work and personal life have grown far more complicated. Technological systems shape our work and organizational structures, and they also generate rising anxiety. We witness disruptions such as sudden shortages in supermarkets, partially triggered by conflicts and assaults on the familiar systems we depend on. A growing number of urgent questions demand our responses.
Yet as connections become more intricate and less human-centered, where and how can we find answers? Core questions emerge: Are systems built to serve people, or are we forced to serve systems? How do current events affect us? To whom can we rely in crises — the people nearby, governments, or the organizations we belong to and collaborate with? What quality of relationships can we maintain? Are we able to build reflective spaces together with others in work and public spheres, or remain isolated on separate islands? Can we hold containing spaces for reflection, and what role does ISPSO play in this endeavor? How do you understand the idea of humanity within systems, or human systems? Do you see systems as serving humans, or the reverse? How does this thinking resonate with your experience of being part of the ISPSO community? What is the quality of closeness or distance among us, and how does it shape the community? What insights does this bring about yourself and the current state of ISPSO?
We invite reflections on these themes. We ask whether we are still capable are we of creating spaces for connection, reflection, and containment. What personal observations would you want to share and explore alongside peers? Finally, what meaning does this mutual exchange hold for our collective mission — if indeed we share a common task?
Welcome to our collective connection within our system. MMM is a member space and is held by the MMM team Djura Prins, Sari Mattila, Tingli Zhou and Joost Levy. As MMM organising team our task is to provide containment and moderation, if and when needed.
The purpose of the MMM is:
- To provide an online community space to connect and reflect.
- To develop membership engagement and cohesion.
- To develop and support initiatives from members.
We invite all members to join the MMM sessions
- Here you can meet and connect with long-running members of ISPSO, and those who have joined recently
- You can contribute to our explorations and experience and feel the spirit of how we question ourselves in relation to organizations and the world in all its expressions.
- You can share ideas and thoughts related to our common purpose.
- You can actively participate in the meeting discussions, observe the dynamics of the meeting, reflect on your own feelings and experiences during this process, and be courageous to share your insights.
