From management catching up to organisational psychoanalysis: the case of telecommunications systems and operators
Economic research in the field of telecommunications systems and operators has produced several kinds of works. But research in management sciences has been limited until now. This thesis seeks to fill such a gap by two complementary methods. The first method lies on the hypothesis of a management catching up in the field of systems and telecommunications operators and uses an inductive method. The studied period is about ten years. Our work concerns more specifically the strategy-structure coupling at France Telecom and the plurality of integration modes around the management system. The analysis is then widened towards a comparative prospect in European management and the impact of a new technical system on the organisational structures. At the end, we apply to a new empirical field traditional work in management sciences related to the organizations theory, management systems and comparative management.
